Last updated: May 15, 2026 · QLG Media LLC dba CoverageBeacon

CoverageBeacon.com ("Site," "we," "us," or "our") is owned and operated by QLG Media LLC dba CoverageBeacon ("Company"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Through Our Quoting Tools

When you use our online chat, qualifying questions, or eligibility forms, we collect the answers you provide. Depending on the coverage line, this may include:

  • Age range or age bucket
  • ZIP code and state
  • Whether you are enrolled in or eligible for Medicare Parts A and B, Medicaid, or other coverage
  • Household income range (for ACA Marketplace inquiries)
  • Whether you are seeking coverage for yourself or a loved one

We use these answers to determine eligibility, route your inquiry to the appropriate licensed insurance agent or marketing partner, and measure advertising performance (see Section 3).

b. Caller Information

When you initiate a phone call by clicking a phone number or call button on our Site, our call tracking platform (CallGrid) captures your phone number (Caller ID), the page you called from, the answers you provided in our qualifying tools, and associated session data. Phone calls placed to numbers displayed on our Site may be recorded and monitored for quality assurance, training, compliance, and dispute resolution purposes. When recording is enabled, you will hear a disclosure at the start of the call before being connected. By continuing the call after the disclosure, you consent to the recording where permitted by law. See Section 5 for additional detail.

c. Automatically Collected Information

Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type, operating system, and device information (User Agent)
  • Pages visited, time on page, links clicked, referring URL
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking data (see Section 4)

What we do NOT collect on this Site: we do not collect your full name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, telephone number (other than the Caller ID associated with calls you initiate), Social Security number, driver's license number, financial account information, payment card information, or health insurance policy/member ID. We do not ask you to create an account or set a password. The qualifying questions in our chat tools collect categorical answers (such as an age range) rather than precise personal data.

d. Consumer Health Data — Washington, Connecticut, Nevada Residents

If you reside in a state with a "consumer health data" law (including, as of this writing, Washington (My Health My Data Act), Connecticut, and Nevada), some of the answers you provide in our chat tools (for example, whether you are enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare, or seeking Final Expense coverage) may be considered consumer health data. We will not transmit those answers to advertising or analytics third parties without your explicit opt-in consent through our cookie-consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by visiting the cookie preferences link or by contacting us at [email protected].

e. Visitor Session and Consent Verification

We use independent third-party services to document the source of your visit and to verify that your consent to be contacted (where applicable) was obtained in a manner consistent with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws. Specifically:

  • CallGrid (visitor session and call attribution): When you visit our Site from a tracked advertising source, CallGrid creates an anonymous session identifier that ties your browser activity (pages viewed, referring source, advertising attribution parameters) to any call you later place to a number displayed on our Site. CallGrid sets first-party cookies on your browser to maintain this session and to assign you a unique tracking phone number from a rotating pool.
  • TrustedForm by ActiveProspect (consent and lead certification): When you interact with any form, chat tool, or call button on our Site, the TrustedForm script issues a certificate that records your session for the purpose of later verifying the source and consent state of your inquiry. The certificate captures the on-page elements you interacted with, the consent language shown to you, the URL parameters of your visit, and the timing of your interactions. A fallback tracking pixel from api.trustedform.com is loaded for visitors who have JavaScript disabled. The certificate URL may be shared with licensed insurance agents or marketing partners alongside your inquiry to verify the validity of the consent provided.

These services are operated under contract for the purpose of compliance documentation and fraud prevention. Data captured by these services is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes outside the lead-routing workflow described in Section 3.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Match your inquiry to a licensed insurance agent or marketing partner who may be able to assist you
  • Route phone calls and online inquiries based on your answers, location, and the type of coverage you're interested in
  • Place and fire advertising/marketing pixels for ad performance measurement and audience optimization (see Section 4)
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or security threats
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Licensed insurance agents and marketing partners. When you initiate a call or submit a qualifying inquiry, your phone number, the answers you provided, and associated session data may be shared with one or more licensed insurance agents, agencies, or marketing partners ("Buyers") for the purpose of providing you with insurance-related information.
  • Service providers. We share data with third parties that help us operate the Site, including call tracking and visitor session platforms (CallGrid), consent verification and lead certification services (TrustedForm, operated by ActiveProspect Inc.), analytics providers, hosting providers, content delivery networks, and advertising networks. These service providers are contractually bound to process data only for the purposes described in this Policy and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our Company, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Some of these disclosures may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California or other state privacy laws. See Section 6 for your opt-out rights.

4. Cookies and Tracking Pixels

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to measure site performance and advertising effectiveness. The technologies we use, or may use, on this Site include:

  • Google Tag Manager — loads and orchestrates the other tags listed below. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 — site traffic and behavior analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You may opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — measures conversion events (such as a call button click) for our Google Ads campaigns.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — ad effectiveness and audience creation on Meta platforms. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy. You may manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences.
  • TikTok Pixel — ad effectiveness on TikTok. Subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Advertising UET — conversion measurement for our Microsoft (Bing) ad campaigns, where used.
  • CallGrid call tracking and visitor session technology — assigns a unique tracking phone number to your session, ties your call to the page and advertising source you came from, and sets first-party session cookies on your browser. Subject to CallGrid's privacy practices.
  • TrustedForm by ActiveProspect — captures a session-level certificate at the moment of inquiry to verify the source and consent state of your lead. Loads a script from api.trustedform.com and a fallback noscript pixel for JavaScript-disabled visitors. Subject to ActiveProspect's privacy practices.
  • Cloudflare Insights — first-party performance and reliability analytics from our infrastructure provider.

Not every vendor listed above is necessarily active at every moment. We turn individual ad pixels on and off as campaigns rotate, and the active set may change without an update to this Policy. What does not change is the rule below.

What we do not transmit to any of these vendors. Your answers to our chat or qualifying tools (such as age range, household income, Medicare or Medicaid status, tobacco use, coverage amount, beneficiary, or similar) are not sent to any advertising or analytics vendor listed above, whether currently active or added in the future. Those vendors receive only generic lifecycle events (for example, that a chat was started or that a call button was clicked) and standard attribution parameters (such as URL UTM tags). You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.

5. Call Tracking and Recording

This Site uses call tracking technology provided by CallGrid. When you click a phone number or call button on this Site, the following information may be captured, stored, and used for advertising performance measurement, fraud prevention, compliance documentation, and to route your call to the appropriate licensed insurance agent or partner:

  • Your phone number (Caller ID)
  • The page you called from and any URL parameters carried in the link that brought you to our Site
  • Your ZIP code and age range, used only to route your call to a licensed insurance agent who serves your area and category
  • Your IP address, browser/device information, and operating system
  • Session identifiers and cookie data set by CallGrid
  • The TrustedForm certificate URL associated with your visit (when applicable)

Phone calls placed to numbers displayed on this Site may be recorded and monitored for quality assurance, training, compliance, and dispute resolution. When recording is enabled, you will hear a disclosure at the start of the call before being connected to a licensed agent. By continuing the call after the disclosure, you consent to the recording of the call. Several states, including Florida (where the operator of this Site is based), are two-party-consent jurisdictions for the recording of calls; if you do not wish for your call to be recorded, please end the call when you hear the disclosure. Recordings may be retained by CallGrid and accessed by us and by licensed agents who handle your inquiry, for the purposes described above.

  • Call recordings and call metadata: retained by CallGrid for the duration of our service agreement, typically up to 24 months.
